Maintenance Minder System

Rather than using a static table of time and mileage to keep track of maintenance, every Acura has a Maintenance Minder system that  calculates service needs based on how the vehicle is driven — not just how many miles it is driven. Depending on the Acura model you choose, the Maintenance Minder system will do the following:

  • It checks engine operating conditions, such as weather extremes, stop-and-start traffic and frequent short trips.
  • It helps coordinate oil service dates and other maintenance check-ups to minimize your trips to the service department.
  • In the unlikely event your RL has a malfunction, the onboard monitoring system will detect it and use AcuraLink® to relay diagnostic codes to your dealer for further analysis.
  • Having a Bluetooth®11-enabled phone with the HandsFreeLink® profile further streamlines the RL’s convenient onboard monitoring system, allowing you to communicate directly with your dealer.
  • When your RL is in the dealer’s service bay, repair technicians can plug into its onboard monitoring system directly to pinpoint problems.
